Our suggestion of harmonization: Pietro Zardini Red Wine
When you’re serving up delicious Italian dishes, you have to pair it with equally tasty wine.
For a dish like this which is rich and meaty, a red wine is the perfect accompaniment. We recommend a Pietro Zardini, Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva, an Italian red that has a warm and harmonious structure.
This wine blends beautifully with the flavours of the pasta to create a real taste sensation in your mouth. With sweet ripe fruits and an after taste of fine wood, this is the ultimate red that you can bring out at any occasion.
This intense red comes from the Valpolicella terroir, and is made by drying grapes for up to 5 months, and then putting them through the traditional fermentation process on the skins with maceration of between 6-8 weeks. The grapes are then matured in oak barrels for 4 years and rested in steel and bottle before it’s able to get delivered to your dinner table.
It offers the traditional Italian red wine taste, so there really is no better thing to drink alongside such an authentic Italian pasta dish.
